Alex BirtlesHead of Online Sales and Service
Alex joined TalkTalk in 2010 and is now responsible for Online Sales and Service, including new acquisition and in-life sales, as well as the TalkTalk App and messaging. Previously Alex was Head of Loyalty Strategy, accountable for churn in TalkTalk’s consumer quad-play base. She also ran the company’s Next Best Action marketing platform, which uses data and customer insight to determine personalised next best actions for customers to drive better loyalty and profitability. Until February 2015 she was responsible for PR, public affairs and corporate social responsibility across the group. Prior to joining TalkTalk, Alex worked in central Government on digital policy and one of her proudest projects was working on a £250m Government programme to get children from low income families online at home. Alex has also worked at Intel, Microsoft and The Chemistry Club. She is a trustee of charity Young Women's Trust, which campaigns for disadvantaged young women trapped in low or no pay.
